The new Mac Pro is way out of my league

The recently announced 2019 Mac Pro is a beast of a machine. With support for 28 cores and 1.5 TB of storage, it is a machine that can shred your processing and rendering times while it shreds all the money you’ll be spending to get one. Starting at $5999 for the Mac Pro itself and $4999 for the new Pro Display XDR (sans stand), I’m sure I’ll most likely never own one. The closest I’ll get to having one in my living room is via placing a 3D model on top of my kotatsu via the AR camera interface in iOS. It does look pretty nice though.

Seeing that price made me realize that I don’t really want a Mac Pro, but I want to do something that would require a Mac Pro. To make something that demands hardware of that level, would be a great level to reach someday. I want to focus on what to make more than I want to focus on what I use to make it. That thought is a nice one, and I’ll try to stick with that and steer away from the new, shiny beast that is the Mac Pro.
